The Mind Yoga - Atinuke Agbeniyi

There's a common phrase  knowledge is power!. Well, this is absolutely true. But learning to unlearn and relearn is even more greater power.

It is so easy to know that once we have, we find it very difficult to unlearn what we know. Many times we have trained our minds to believe in one thing, to think one directional and any contrary opinion is not accepted. But what do we know? I have learnt that no matter how stiff the human body is, it is nothing that constant yoga cannot make flexible and that is why I recommend the 'mind yoga'.

The 'mind yoga' is the stretching of the mind to a maximum capacity. Seeing things beyond their natural outlook. Getting to understand the depths of matters and not just scratching on the surface. 
When we watch a master of yoga,  we are often thrilled  by the flexibility they display. Some of us sometimes say they were born without bones. Don't be a bony brain, become a brilliant mind. Being too rigid in our thinking is one way to becoming a major antagonist of good things. Like the racist, sexist, misogynist and many others who think one directional.

A constant mind stretching is one that defies bodily endurance activity. Because only the mind can push the body to the extreme and once the mind is caged up, so is the body. Remember the saying 'you can do anything if you put your mind to it '? Well, the secret is in the training. World record champions didn't win by been rigid in their thinking. They gave up their minds to regular training and practice. Practice the truth until it becomes a reflex. 

In a time like this when the world is on edge and a lot of people have had to stay home without working. Imagine one month without having to wake up 5 O'clock in the morning and going through work stress till evening, stuck in traffic and too tired to cook when you return home. Now there's more free time than ever. The mind is out of its usual environment into one quite more serene and now would be the best time to explore. So get to work because the world will not wait for anyone after getting back on her two feet. Many will be coming out with budding ideas and innovations that will need time to build. So build up your mind for the work load that's about to come.
